My broadband wireless uses 2.4GHz frequency. I want to put HTIB wireless in the same room. Will this work?
I am looking at the Panasonic SH-FX60 which also uses 2.4GHz and I keep the laptop in the room with the TV so I know the broadband signal is already in the room. I don’t want to buy the wireless speaker system if it won’t work so if anyone has experience with this problem please let me know what you can.

You may get interference occasionally, but it should
work most of the time -unless you get a call.

It’s probably not a good idea but it could still work. Most (if not all) WiFi routers will let you choose the channel they operate on, from 1-12. Even though these devices both operate in the 2.4GHz band, it is possible you MIGHT be able to pick a channel where you’re not interfering with the speakers. Cordless phones that are 2.4GHz are not so reliable. They have a button that allows them to change channels, but they seem to change on their own every time the line is picked up. If you’re really set on this particular HTIB wireless system, I’d buy it from a place who has a lenient return policy, and I’d carefully unpack it and one speaker just to try it out. If you hear pop pop pop, this is the WiFi interfering. Try transferring a file on your WiFi too. This makes a horrid crackling noise if it’s interfering. Optimally, I’d find a HTIB wireless system that ran of 900MHz
