How well will these computer specs work?
I am planning on buying a Dell desktop that will be focused on gaming, and with high-end graphics for things such as World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, Battlefield Bad Company, etc. Here is my current setup:
Studio XPS 9100
Operating System Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
Processors Intel® Core™i7-930 processor(8MB L2 Cache, 2.80GHz)
Memory 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz – 4 DIMMs
Monitor 21.5" Dell ST2210 Full HD Monitor with VGA cable
Video Card ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5
Hard Drive 1TB – 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache
Optical Drives Single Drive: 16X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability
Sound THX® TruStudio PC™
Speakers AY410 2.1 Stereo Speakers with Subwoofer
Wireless Dell 1525 Wireless-N PCIe Card
I’ve been thinking if this isn’t enough, I would upgrade to a 9GB Ram, but otherwise I thought this would work well; if any of you know how well I could run these games, and at what settings (Medium, High, Max, etc.) or what you would recommend I upgrade, I would appreciate it!

Help with upgrading my computer sound system?
What I want to improve is sound quality. I am not after a system that I can use to damage the hearing of those a good distance away, but more along the lines of a good volume throughout my room without the cost of clarity.
Would I perhaps be better of with a nice wireless headset?
I currently do not have a sould card installed. My capable PC is not even half a year old. For 30 dollars I added a set of flatscreen stereo speakers that sometimes produces a low hiss at very low or high volume settings.
I am currently in collage so there are limitations on what I can afford. A link to a site that compares the pros and cons of dirrerent brands and models would be great.

Only other questions I got are:
how do I know how many USB ports I’m getting?
and how do I know if I need a better heatsink and how do I know how many watts I need for the power supply?
It will only recognize 6GB of ram? How about with Windows 7? And I forgot, what is the difference between a B/G and a B/G/N wireless network card?
To be honest, I really don’t know much about putting a computer together so I don’t know what is compatible or what. Here is another build, but without the Radeon 5850 video card. Will the standard heatsink be sufficient?

How do i connect my stereo speakers to my PC (not via an amp etc)?
I have got 2 stereo speakers that i want to hook up to my new PC instead of buying some new speakers. I dont want to connect it via an amp, just connect the speakers directly to the PC via an adapter etc. They normally take the bare wire/zip cord connections to connect to the amp but i dont want it hooked up to the stereo system in my room, but use them instead of the normal PC speakers you can buy. How would i go about doing this?
