Building First PC [Budget Gamer]?
I’ve decided to build a gaming PC. I’ll be using my 32" Samsung LN-T3253 as my monitor, I already have cables, so there are no problems there.
I will, for now, be using my wireless keyboard and mouse from my old computer, and am planning on buying Altec Lansing VS2421 Speakers tomorrow [they're on sale]
So Basically, although I’m on a budget I will only need the desktop itself, also software will not be included in this pricing.
I was looking to spend 0-800 or so, but that’s can be slightly higher if needed. Mostly ordering from TigerDirect.ca, as they ship to Canada.
Would I *need* bigger than a MidTower, or would that be enough, I’m planning on upgrading as I go, but don’t see myself needing a full tower. Micro would be nice, but unlikely.
Is there any advantage to having more than one harddrive, other than more space. Would 2 250’s be better than a similar rpm 500GB. [OS and progs on C, data on D]
For a video card I was thinking of a Radeon 8600 or 8800
Ran out of space
I don’t use my aim account much, but if anyone uses msn add me at invalidx@live.ca
OS – I was thinking of having XP Pro, Vista [trying it out] , a small linux partition. and also might try to "hackintosh" OSX on there , maybe not though, just a small consideration.
is my computer specs above average?
