Is there any such thing as a wireless/bluetooth speaker adapter?

I have a bluetooth adapter for my laptop, but was wondering if you could buy anything that you can plug a 3.5mm jack into from a set of speakers that would enable them to be used wirelessly as I’m moving my laptop around the room and still want decent sound without having wires all over the place..

If not then is there anything else I could use? I’ve seen a few sets of perpose made wireless speakers, but is there some way I could just adapt my existing speakers?

What do I need to setup a wireless surround system to my 50″ Plasma TV?

I just bought a 50" Plasma HD TV. I want to add surround sound. But I want everything to be wireless. What all do I need. Can I just buy wireless speakers? Or do I need something additional. I don’t have alot of money to spend at the moment. I would like to get some namebrand speakers that I can add a piece to now and then.

Thank You

One poster stated that I "would still need wires to get the signal from the receiver to the speakers" … that makes no sense to me. Isn’t that what ‘wireless’ means: that I don’t have to have any wires at all? lol.

OMG < gets out drop cords … again! >

Why do my wireless surround sound speakers hum/buzz so badly?

Panasonic SH-FX60, rear wireless speakers… when I plug ‘em in they hum/buzz really nastily. I’ve tried restarting, unplugged and replugged etc, but no good. Panasonic support are no use either.

Any ideas?

To elaborate: these are for my home theatre system, im my front room. They’re hooked up to my panasonic surround sound dvd, not my computer.

Portable Speakers

Wireless portable speakers that allow you to use the wireless transmitter or plug it directly to your mp3 player.

Please recommend computer for multimedia, for $1200 or less.?

Looking to buy weekend of Aug 7, which is tax-free weekend in my state. Main use will be for making movies/slideshows with pictures/video (on a non-professional level). Also, perhaps occassionally streaming music to wireless speakers.

I’m completely unbiased between Mac and PC. Right now, I’m awfully tempted to purchase the Apple iMac 21.5-inch (Core 2 Duo) at 00. I really like the non-clutter feel of the all-in-one feature, wireless keyboard and mouse. And the screen is quite nice with full HD. BUT, rumor appears to be that new iMac models will be out any time now, so not sure I want to purchase at the tail end of their life-cycle (and the new models may have the better i3 or i5 processor). If I hold out for the new models, and they come out after tax-free weekend, that’s an extra 0 I just spent.

That said, any suggestions on a comparable PC? Thanks.
ok how about now with the new imac model out? check apple’s website for the specs – i3 processor and better graphics

Wireless Home Theater system?

I was going to buy this sound system

But I was wondering, is there a limit to how far the wireless speakers can be from the actuall interface? Is it also possible that the wireless speakers may interfere with my wireless internet connection (that is with my laptop)?
