What to get 360 or PS3?
So I just sold my Wii (as a bundle) for 0 and I want to get a 360 or PS3… Question is which one, here’s my position also selling my DS for 0 as a bundle giving me about 0 to spend as I want 0 in savings:
Xbox Pros:
1. I like the games on it a lot more and am looking forward to get Forza2 Ace Combat 6 and Halo 3
2. Most of my friends have 360’s
Xbox Cons:
1. I really hate to buy warranty for it since I could of gotten a PS3 for the same price as 360+Warranty (Warranty= I think)
2. I’m scared shitless of getting the 3 red lights of death
3. I have wireless internet so I need the wireless adapter as Ethernet aint an option which is an extra -0
4. If I get the 360 I get a cooling fan for an extra
PS3 Pros:
1. Cheaper in total since it has built in wireless and doesn’t need a cooling fan.
PS3 Cons:
1. Ace Combat 6 isn’t available for it
2. Grand Turismo isn’t even out yet and I NEED a great racing game!
3. Not many of my friends have it
4. No Halo 3
Also I have a 1080i/720p capable 16:10 T.V but no good speakers as my PC speakers don’t work with it as far as I know…
If you could also tell me whether either of the systems supports 16:10 aspect ratio that would be nice.

XBOX 360 controller emulator for PC games
Download controller : filesmy.com What is it? If you have shitty gamepad or any other gamepad that doesnt support XInput ( which 99% of new “games for windows” use ), and you have problems with compatibility, vibration doesnt work in games, games dont detect triggers or axes properly this thing is a solution for you. It translates Direct Input signals from your gamepad to XInput, thanks to that you will never have to configure gamepad controls ( just plug and play, like with xbox 360 gamepad for PC ) and everything will work properly. How do i config open x360ce.ini and bind your buttons to coresponding x360 controller buttons. if you have single axis trigger do something like this Left Trigger=h-1 Right Trigger=h1 h and slider id use XInputTest.exe to test your config. everything else is in a comment field in ini file. To make it run with a game just copy all the files into game directory and just run the game, if you hear “beep” from your PC speaker or if you use vista/7 beep from normal speakers then it means it works. If you did everything right your game will think you actualy use Xbox 360 controller. And your gamepad will work just as the x360 controller.

Tutorial: How to hook up an Xbox 360 to a Computer Monitor
—READ FIRST— A pretty good tutorial on how to hook up your 360 to a computer monitor. Q&A Q: I saw your last vid and you used an HDTV. Why do you use the computer monitor instead of your fancy pants HDTV? A: In some games I play, like Rock Band, I encounter a little visual lag when I play on an HDTV. On a computer monitor, I have no visual lag at all. So its perfect to play any game. Q: Why do you have towels underneath your 360 still? A: i got this idea from a friend and he has had towels underneath his 360 for well over a year and a couple of months now and STILL no RROD. Q: What are the things I need for this to work? A: Computer Monitor and Xbox 360 (obviously…) Xbox 360 VGA HD Cable (can be found at most electronic retailers, ie, Best Buy), Speakers for audio, Female-to-Female Audio Splitter (about the size you would put regular headphones in) its that little black thing i used in the video to connect my speakers NOTE: if your speakers have the female input on them, then there’s no need to buy the last item mentioned
Need to use external speakers for Xbox.?
I have high speed internet and used to play xbox live very often with no problems. However, recently I have moved to a further room and get lag when connected. So I checked some things and determined I am just a little to far from my wireless router. I want to be able to hook my Xbox up to my computer 22 inch monitor via DVI. The problem is that my monitor has no speakers and I would be unable to get sound. Is there a way to use my computer speakers for my Xbox?
My video card has dual DVI ports and I am uncertain if there is a way I could plug the DVI into the second port and configure it so it shows up on the monitor or not. Any ideas?
